She is currently a Senior Product Manager for growth products at Agoda where she leads the development of Agoda’s paid ranking tool. Previously, she was responsible for the EMEA go-to-market strategy of HP industrial printers where she coordinated the launch of 5 products and led the entry strategy into the African market. Llewellyn Thomas holds a Ph.D. from Imperial College Business School, an M.B.A. (with Distinction) from Cass Business School, a L.L.B. (Honours) from University of Sydney and B.A. (Honours), also from University of Sydney. He also holds a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors, London and a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, London. Prof. Thomas’s teaching is focused on the impact of digitalization on organizations and with special emphasis on the redesign of processes and the challenge for senior executives to develop a digital mindset. His research interests lie in the co-evolutionary processes that lead to successful digital innovation and entrepreneurship. He focuses on ecosystem creation, evolution and dynamics in digital economy contexts. Llewellyn’s research is presented regularly at top-tier conferences, including the yearly Academy of Management Conference. His work has appeared in top-tier journals, including Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Industrial and Corporate Change, and the Academy of Management Perspectives. He has also published in other journals, including Communications of the ACM, Business Horizons, and Telecommunications Policy. Before becoming an academic, he founded several companies, as well as being a management consultant specializing in competitive and operational strategy in financial services contexts, both for his own consultancy, and as information strategy lead at the consultants BearingPoint UK. Before venturing into management consultancy, he was Product Strategy Director EMEA at Hummingbird, a Canadian multinational software company, and Product Solution Director at Valid Information Systems, an information management software company based in London, UK.
