Starting as a near-shore platform for U.S. customer service back in 2008, Amazon Costa Rica is today a world-class, 5,000-employee organization providing comprehensive end user and logistics support to Amazon customers on three continents. The Costa Rican operations, which consistently attain top-tier rankings for performance within the Amazon ecosystem, have emerged as the country's third-largest employer, with substantial growth planned in the immediate future.

What does it take to lead an organization from inception to massive scale? Would it be any different if it wasn’t called Amazon? What are the company’s plans for the region in the future? This, among others, will be the topics we will discuss with Mr. Alejandro Filloy, General Manager, LATAM Customer Service at Amazon.
