About the event
This intensive 1.5-day course equips participants with best-practice financial modelling techniques tailored for private equity and project finance. Through real-life examples and a structured methodology, attendees will learn to build robust, scalable, and transparent models that support the full transaction lifecycle, from screening to financial close. The course also covers integrated financial statements, valuation techniques, and scenario analysis to enhance decision-making and model reliability.

- Discuss the life-cycle of a financial model, from screening and structuring to financial close:
- Develop a model structure that is robust and scalable that can evolve with a typical project or transaction:
- Understand the structure of cashflow waterfalls and the importance of ‘seniority’:
The training will include the following
- Design a model structure
- Build a model engine of the target company
- Finalise financial statements to make a fully integrated three-way model
- Learn key techniques for terminal value analysis in a valuation context
- Complete a best practice discounted cashflow (DCF) valuation
- Build cross-reference valuation techniques to benchmark your discounted cashflow (DCF) analysis
- Integrate a powerful scenario manager and enable informed decision making
