Subject: European Venture Philanthropy Association - Vacancy in Research Dept.

Dear RBC (it's easy as 1-2-3, doe-rae-me, R-B-C, baby you and me ya...)

Please see attached and below a potential opportunity with the European Venture Philanthropy Association, passed to me from Prof. Ines Alegre.
----------------------------------

Dear Academic Member of EVPA,

You might have seen our recent announcement of leadership changes within EVPA.

After six years at EVPA, setting up and running its Knowledge Centre, authoring and/or editing 17 KC publications, contributing to a number of other research projects, as well as taking on the responsibility of EVPA’s policy work a couple of years ago, Lisa Hehenberger is stepping down from her role as EVPA’s Research and Policy Director. Lisa will be taking on a new role as professor at ESADE business school in Barcelona. In her new position, Lisa will continue conducting both academic and practitioner-oriented research on VP and social impact investing, as well as teach in ESADE’s various programmes in strategy and entrepreneurship. Lisa will stay engaged with EVPA as a strategic advisor as of April 2016.

Priscilla Boiardi, EVPA’s current Research Manager, will be taking on the leadership of the EVPA Knowledge Centre (KC) from April onwards.

With the support of one of the KC’s original funders, the Noaber Foundation, we have developed a new strategy for the KC 2.0 to allow EVPA to further leverage the content developed, using innovative and targeted dissemination formats, and including the training activities in the KC. The KC 2.0 aims to cultivate and build cutting-edge sector intelligence, enable peer-to-peer learning and packaging and showcase the most compelling stories to accelerate momentum for VP/SI in Europe. We are confident that the new strategy will enable EVPA to build on its strength as a research centre, while working more closely with our academic members to further explore the data and network that EVPA has developed.  We will be in touch to explain those plans further.

In order to implement the KC’s ambitious plans, we are currently looking for a Research Manager, who will contribute to further strengthening EVPA’s thought leadership role in the VP/SI space.

We are reaching out to you as academic members, to ask for your help in spreading the news about this vacancy to increase the chances of finding the most suitable candidate – someone who has a solid research background and a burning interest in the venture philanthropy/social impact investment field! The detailed vacancy is attached. Please feel free to circulate among your networks.

We hope you’ll be able to help us find the right candidate! We are at your disposal for any further clarification you might need.

Best regards,

Priscilla and Lisa for the EVPA Knowledge Centre
