All through the week you could see groups of students dancing to Bollywood songs, clicking pictures in traditional Indian clothes and watching recorded videos in the hallways.

Marketing Club Trek to London
The Marketing Club visited industry-leading firms like Unilever, American Express or GSK during three days in London. Fabio Rodriguez, IESE Marketing Club President said “The London Marketing trek is one of the key events of our club. We need the trek to cater all the participants.
We had some students with very strong marketing experience in big firms like Coca-Cola or WPP whilst others are career changers with little knowledge of the industry.
The mix of companies and content of visits needed to be enriching regardless of your marketing knowledge and hearing the feedback I believe we achieved that.
Family Business Succession:
Ask the Expert!
David Bork is a family business consultant with many decades of experience providing guidance and support to family businesses. Over the years, he has worked with more than 450 family businesses across the world. He is also the author of 2 books on the subject and is regularly invited to give keynote speeches on family business topics at conferences, higher education programs and business retreats.
We had the opportunity to hear him for the first time last year as part of our Family Business Conference. Following positive feedback of the event from many students, he kindly offered to come back this year for this special Family Lab session.
This two hours’ session will start with a lecture based on the model Mr. Bork uses when counselling families: The Bork Process based on the Four Pillars of Family Business. When asked about succession, Mr. Bork quickly replied: “Succession is a process, not an event. It needs to start years in advance of actual transfer of corporate control. Begin with transfer of knowledge and wisdom as that is the foundation of succession “. He insists that the lecture should not take more than one hour and that he wants to open the floor for questions for at least another hour.
For more information on Mr. Bork’s background, please refer to the attached bio. You can also consult his website at:

IESE vs IE Rugby
On Halloween weekend the IESE rugby club took their traditional trip to Madrid to compete against IE in rugby and general life ability. While the Men's contact team stoically withstood two hospital visits and several bashings, they came out moral if not actual victors.
The Mixed team were champions on the other hand, and in the Halloween costume competition there was clearly only one winning team. As per usual a fun event all round, and looking forward to the arrival of the 60-strong LBS women's troupe this weekend.
