IESE Career Forum – Oct. 24-26th – Barcelona 
We will be hosting 40 companies’ presentations on campus and are expecting to welcome 650 students throughout these three days.
Record breaking number of interviews during the Career Forum 2016. 21% increase from 296 to 359 on campus interviews.
Benefit from this exceptional opportunity to learn more about the companies that interest you, to extend your network and to practice your elevator pitch in real life. For a better first connection with companies, please bring your CV´s, the IESE name-tag, and your IESE business cards.
In order to insure timely access to the presentations, please don’t forget to bring your boarding pass printed. If you have signed-up for a presentation or event, you are expected to attend.

Asia Careers Fair – Oct. 29th – London
Event jointly organized by top 5 European business schools: IESE, INSEAD, LBS, HEC and RSM. Students pursuing a career in Asia will have the opportunity to meet recruiters flying in from Asia to attend this event. 39 IESE Students are registered to attend the Fair.
 
Energy Club held the 1st Energy Hour of the year on Oct. 19th33 people were coached by 2nd Year Students and received feedback on their CVs and Cover Letters, in preparation for the Career Forum. 2nd Year Students also shared their summer experiences. Moving forward,upcoming Energy hours will be dedicated to bringing together both 1st and 2nd Year Students with industry leaders!
  
AB InBev case Competition.
102 1st Year Students divided in 34 teams took part in the Craft Beer Challenge 2016. The winners: Patricia Feliu, Anna Patricia Fernández and Albert Pastor. Congratulations! They will be invited to present the case in Leuven at the European Headquarters to the Board of Directors together with the winners of LBS and INSAD. We wish you all the best!!!
 
IESE Roland Berger International Case Competition. All participants will get to participate to a Powerful and Effective Presentations training by Roland Berger consultants on campus.

What's Happened These Last 2 Weeks
 

During the AB InBev´s info session with IESE Alumni, Pedro Mello, Agustin Vasena, James Connor and Jose Herrera talked about their experiences during their summer internships with members of the Latin American Business Club. Pedro Mello current export manager at Ambev and the rest of the group gave insights and recommendation to help the potential interns with their application process.
 
Joaquin Frontera (Class of 2017) organized a networking dinner during which 1st Year LATAM Students had the opportunity to meet with top management of Bain & Co. Mexico, and learn about the company.
 
The Retail, Fashion & Luxury Goods Club. Oct. 13th, held a successful CV Workshop! This was the first installation of the Workshop Series, which they hope will give you continuous career preparation and support throughout the year. Follow our newsletter to find out the date and time of these series’s next workshop.
 
The Sport Business Club. On Oct. 17thCarlos Cantó, currently CEO of SPSG Consulting & Investments and co-ordinator of the "Sports" chapter of the Spanish Marketing Association, gave a talk on the general overview of the sports industry and its main stakeholders, also covering the latest trends in sponsorship.
 
The Automotive Club and the Innovation & Design Club – Improving Mobility project (Brain-storming Session). On Oct. 19th, the two clubs held a design thinking workshop to come up with ideas to improve mobility for BMW.  Participants researched mobility problems with drivers prior to the session and began by sharing them in small teams. After a brain-writing activity, the groups selected the ideas raised they thought were the best. Amazing ideas were generated in a short-time period, making the workshop a success.
 
Consulting Students are doing well preparing and practicing for interview. Here’s what happened for them during these last to week:
The 1st Year Consulting Club members have now started with their first official mock interview done by volunteer 2nd Year Students who were trained to interview and give feedback on a specific case. Keep up the good work and a big thank you to all volunteers.
An on top of that, the Consulting Club gave a session on CV and Cover Letter to prepare the 1st Years for upcoming consulting summer internship applications. Summer internship job postings are now live in Simplicity, deadline to apply is Nov. 16th.
 
Last week, on Thursday Oct. 13th, the Boston Consulting Group hosted an interview coaching session with 2 IESE Alumni from BCG Spain for 2nd Years selected to interviews with them during the Career Forum next week.
On FridayMcKinsey hosted an interview coaching session on Campus for 2nd Years who are interviewing with them next week and we also had a specific PEI (personal experience interview) training with Nicolas Constantinesco. 
On Saturday, during the Crack-the-Case II workshop, Nicolas presented the importance of Structure, Structure, Structure... and more Structure in case interview for both 1st & 2nd Year Students in Aula Magna.
