March Career Ambassadors Networking Sessions (Virtual/In person)

Career Ambassadors are IESE Alumni and representatives from Partner Companies who are eager to share insights about their companies, industries, or geographical markets, and provide guidance on navigating your career. We have organized several informal meetings with different Career Ambassadors to enhance your networking opportunities. Event Format: Each Career Ambassador will be available for a 45-minute networking session with up to 6 students. You can select the Career Ambassador you wish to speak with. Career Ambassadors based in Barcelona will join you on campus, while those outside Barcelona will participate online. Purpose: The goal of these sessions is to engage in informal conversations with IESE Career Ambassadors to learn from their professional experiences and receive guidance on your job search. These sessions are designed to be informal and insightful discussions, not opportunities to directly ask for jobs. Instructions: Please register for a slot with the Career Ambassador of your choice. To ensure a smooth and focused conversation, you may meet with only one Career Ambassador per session. Kindly avoid registering for sessions that run in parallel.  Only sign up if you are certain you can attend, as each session is limited to 6 students. Be punctual and conduct prior research before attending the session. Engage interactively and include other participants in the discussion. For virtual sessions, use the hand raise feature and keep your camera on. Do not ask for jobs. Instead, consider discussing topics such as: Your experience at [COMPANY]. What led you to work there? What has kept you there over time? What is it like on the inside, specifically in your role? What are some of the most important tasks you handle in this role? What do you spend the most time on? What do you love about the role, and what challenges do you face? We look forward to your participation and hope you find these sessions valuable for your career development.

Fintech Career Series: VISA

Join us for the next instalment of the Fintech Career Series, with Visa. Laura Cajade, Strategic Sales Director at Visa, will explore the future of agentic e-commerce, where AI agents shop on consumers’ behalf, and how this shift will fundamentally reshape online marketing and sales, including implications for FMCG and global commerce. She’ll also share insights about recruitment, profiles Visa are looking for, her international career across engineering, product, and commercial leadership, followed by Q&A. ———————— Laura leads major partnerships with global financial institutions. She works at the intersection of AI, digital payments and product innovation. Her work focuses on how emerging technologies reshape customer experience, commerce and the future of payment services. Before joining Visa, Laura held international leadership roles in digital strategy, product management and transformation across global organisations in travel, SaaS and telecommunications. She is known for translating complex technologies into clear strategic narratives and helping senior teams understand the business impact of innovation. Laura also teaches in leading business schools, including IE and ISDI, where she focuses on digital business, product strategy and the emerging field of agentic commerce. She holds a Telecommunications Engineering degree and several executive certifications from MIT, Harvard and Wharton. She speaks Spanish, English and French.

Energy 101: How the World Is Powered

What is energy, and why does it matter? In this 90-minute session, we’ll build a simple foundation for understanding energy vs. electricity, how energy is produced and delivered, and how it shows up in our daily lives. You’ll leave with a clear mental model to make sense of today’s energy conversations. This session will be led by 1st-year MBA student Ana Sophia Mifsud, who has spent the past eight years working at the intersection of energy, climate, and innovation. Her work includes supporting early-stage technologies and real-world deployment of climate tech across buildings, industrial decarbonization, and resilient power systems. She was recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 for her work in Energy.
